Plugging Into Mission at TSBC
With the opening of Taste of Hope on March 1, there is a lot of excitement about showing love to our community. There is a buzz all around the church and that’s a good thing. As believers we are part of the Great Commission. We are called to “Go…and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that [Jesus] commanded you.” The buzz word that sums this up is missional. We are called to live missional lives, recognizing that everywhere we go is a mission field. But how? Well, there are loads of ways and the Show Love Opportunities Guide, available from the office, online, and at the Show Love kiosk in the main hall at the church building, is a great place to start. In it you can find information about our ministry partners, ministry hubs, and ideas for how you can get involved in this community, around the nation, and around the world. Ask your Sunday School teacher or class Show Love Leader if your class is focusing on any of these ministries in particular. You can also grab a spreadsheet with some of our serving opportunities based on your spiritual gifts at the main entrance to the church building.
